Iv Toshain developed the sculpture Space Odyssey specifically for the MAK NITE © Open Air. 100 LED balloons are installed in a cube made out of grid ornaments characteristic for Toshain’s work. As a culmination of the MAK NITE ©, the LED balloons will ascend, accompanied by a specially-composed sound piece of the sound artist Matthias Alexander Makowsky. Space Odyssey is a symbolic expression between the corporial an the immaterial.
